These boards would still need to be run through the kiln and then planed and shaped for flooring. The lumber is fresh cut in these pictures and should darken some with age. This process could take a few months to complete so orders have to be placed well in advance of requested shipping date.

The picture of boards with the number "1" marked on them are the selected best boards and the picture of boards with the number "2" are the seconds with some minor appearance defects. Some people desire the "character" of the "2"s. These boards are heart wood with no sap wood showing on the exposed surface.

The photo showing some sap wood provides a greater diversity in color (yellow to pink to darker streaks) for an interesting appearance.
